A look back at Seanergy 2025
InnovationSeanergy, the marine energy exhibition, took place this year in Paris on June 17 and 18, 2025. Here’s a look back at the two days.
Day 1
The meeting was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. at the Pays de la Loire Region pavilion. This is where WEAMEC, Centrale Nantes, and Nantes University shared a booth during the two days of the exhibition. After coffee and a team briefing, the exhibition got off to a flying start with a large turnout in the morning.
Highlights of the first day
- Inauguration of the Pays de la Loire Pavilion in the presence of Claire Hugues (Pays de la Loire Region) and Jean-Rémy Villageois (Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port)
- Spotlight on key projects for the sector:
- FloWatt: new tidal turbine blades developed by LOIRETECH.
- SubSea Quieter: towards the industrialization of an innovative underwater noise reduction technology – led by Greenov.
- Éole: assembly platform for future offshore wind turbines, a strategic project led by the port of Nantes Saint-Nazaire and supported by the Pays de la Loire Region and Neopolia.
The first day ended on a high note with the “Seanergy Party,” which this year took place at Les Halles d’Issy.
Day 2
The second and final day of the exhibition for the teams was marked by a highlight on the role of women in the MRE sector. This was a highly anticipated moment that brought together many participants.
Centrale Nantes, in partnership with the Pays de la Loire ITII, also presented a highlight on the importance of training the next generation of maritime professionals, particularly through work-study programs.
Summary
The 9th edition of the international forum dedicated to marine energy brought together 3,000 French and international players (manufacturers, experts, researchers, institutions, etc.) over two days, with around 200 exhibitors. Numerous conferences were held, reflecting the current momentum in this promising sector, which is contributing to the energy transition towards a carbon-free world.
The next edition of Seanergy will take place on May 19 and 20, 2026, in Nantes!
